We were playing at home this Sunday, so we didn't have to bother about kit or players not turning up on time. We even had three subs so we weren't even struggling for players. But come two o'clock we still did not have an opposition. After about an hour warm-up, instead of our normal ten minute the oppostion finally arrive. They had a quick warm-up and we kicked off about half an hour late.

Both teams started off well, Wandsworth having a few chances to take the lead, but we were saved by our keeper, Sarah, numerous times. thanx Sarah! We had a few chances in the first half, but were struggling to test their keeper. However, Char kept getting into good spaces which clearly frustrated them. Our central midfield, Stacey and Harriet played great in midfield, trying to get to the ball first and did some great tackles, which started to frustrate Wandsworth more. This resulted in Stacey and Harriet receiving some very hard tackles in return. The atmosphere on the pitch became heated on both sides and the first half ended with myself (shy little old me) exchanging information about number 9's bedroom antics.

The second half started off better for us. We took the lead early on with Harriet scoring a cracker, I would describe it but I turned away for a second and I just saw the ball fly in the back of the net. Sorry! The atmosphere on the pitch after that got even more heated, with yet more insults flying about from both sides(think Nav exchanged a few).

We didn't hold the lead for long, as Wandsworth got one back. Our heads went down and it was down hill from then onwards. We had a few chances, with Harriet switching with Char to play upfront, but we couldnt convert them, although Wandsworth did. The final score was 1-3.
