BAWFC 11 - 0 Chiswick

Being near the top of the league BA knew they had to capitalise on the fact we were playing a bottom of the league team, with a big win on Sunday and they did exactly that!

The game started well apart from Livy getting injured with a huge kick to her calf muscle but after a few minutes she walked it off. With a quick & high tempo start BA killed the game in the first 5 mins with 2 simple goals by Livy, created by pressuring Chiswick in their half and through quick footwork by BA, Excellent start!

Possibly the most skilful goal of the game came from Nav who made an amazing shot from 1 ft from the line, it was a difficult goal but Nav pulled it off! ;-)

Good vision and passing to release our golden striker Char for a 4th and well-deserved goal after her assists earlier in the game.

The 5th goal came from Preeti scoring with her head in typical CB fashion. Even Line had a go with a beautiful strike of the ball, unfortunately hitting the post!

The 6th goal came from Livy again with her superb form, powered the ball into the back of the net with a left foot wonder shot from outside the box (to give her a hat-trick wooooohooooo!)

Great positioning from BA off the ball allowing Stacey to grab the 7th goal with a scorcher of a shot from outside of the area!

The game for me ran in 10 minute spells, 10 mins of brilliance, followed by 10 mins of relatively quiet play. When BA where playing however everyone knew about it!

Sarah moved to CB so Jo came off and Svitlana moved into goal.

Sarah's presence provided the extra spice the game needed, powerful runs up the wings leading to multiple crosses and corners, not to mention her awesome shot on goal from what seemed a million miles out on pitch, well done 8th goal!

After a hat-trick in the first half Livstar was hardly done yet, with our 9th goal coming from a perfectly positioned shot after skimming past two defenders with a goal in the back of the net for BA.

Space and time on the ball were abundant with Chiswick having only 10 players, allowing BA to take full advantage of the situation by creating over-lapping runs and switching of the ball, but final crosses just missing the strikers on many occasions.

A substitution occurred at 60 mins with Danni coming off for Kirsty. Livy's right foot clearly had not had a big enough work-out, so she hit a screamer into the top right corner of the net for BA's 10th goal.

Livy opened the goals and sealed the goals of the game with a crossed ball from Petra's corner into the box, fell to Livy's foot and it was slotted into the back of the net, inches between the goalie’s foot and the post.

Well done BA 11 goals!! Statistics show the power of BA at this present time, 16 corners for BA to Chiswick's large 0 - and a million shots for BA to Chiswick's 1.

Superb match, BA gave Chiswick no time to establish themselves into the game, BA killed off any attack thrown at them, WELL DONE!

Individual performances:
SARAH- Great presence on the field and a goal in typical Sarah fashion (powerful!)
SVITLANA- Endless enthusiasm and energy, plus a great Ukrainian styles celebration dance!
SIMONE- Once again hard work was shown from the luminous hatted right back.
PREETI- Another brilliant commanding role to keep the team in order and to the delight of the team to score a goal herself.
LINE- The Solid rock of the defence, stands strong again, killing off any attack Chiswick threw at her. JO- Great passing display to open up BA into attack mode.
NAV- Excellent off the ball positioning, great passing into the box. And great support play.
STACEY- Her battling to win the ball in midfield on many occasions certainly meant she deserved her long-range goal and could be relied upon to be in her correct position when supporting back-passes where needed as she would be on the outside of the box with every cross in attack.
DANNI- Quick decisive passes forward catching Chiswick on the back foot.
PETRA- Her great runs on the ball allowed her to provide a lot of service to the strikers.
CHAR- Quick footwork had Chiswick in a muddle, splitting their defence allowing her to provide many assists and pin point accuracy lofted passes into the box.
LIVY- Had one of her best games, running rings round their defence and top form on shots, was deadly in front of goal with hat-tricks in both halves!
KIRSTY- Being subbed in at 60 min adding new energy to the game strengthening BA's attacks.
OLIVE- Due to her previous injury to her calf muscle she couldn't inject her normal wondrous attacks up the pitch and strength into the game but did catch Chiswick off guard with her amazingly long throw-ins which where through-balls in themselves!
AMRIK- Great pre & post team talk.
