13 of us turned up to play against 8 Merton players, and Peter Crouch.

The first half was completely dominated by Crouch, who I think humiliated everyone at some time or another. Somehow, we managed to pull ourselves together for a moment and Livvy finished off as coolly as ever after some good midfield passing. At half time we were 1-0 up.

In the second half things got a lot better for us as we started playing much better football, and the Merton goalkeeper had a bit of a mare.

Livvy got the first goal of the second half, going for a bit of a run and slotting it home. I think (I must admit I don't remember much about that goal) ... She almost scored another soon after, but the keeper parried her shot straight to Kim who had an open goal to pop the ball into. Within a couple of minutes Nav had scored after being one on one with the keeper who rushed out and had to watch the ball trickle into the net from the edge of the penalty area. Suddenly we were 4-0 up and running riot.

Things went from bad to worse for Merton, as Petra's speculative cross was dropped by the keeper, leaving Livvy to put the ball in an open goal for her hat-trick. The last goal was scored after some good midfield passing saw Kim running down the touch-line, and managing to pass the ball to Livvy who was unmarked and finished in typical clinical Livvy fashion.

We kept a clean sheet, somehow... though the moment of the match was when all our defence was lying on the floor in the box and managed to keep out about 5 attempts on goal.
