With the our first league match of the season kicking off at 2pm we all made sure that we got together for 1 o'clock sharp! Leaving us plenty of time for changing room banter, a good through warm up, all the while the coach is stuck in Richmond waiting for AA to come to his rescue. Hope they didn't keep you waiting too long.....

We were looking sharp straight from the off, a few pre-season nerves but nothing we couldn't handle.

We looked bright and Livvy was unlucky to not get couple of goals, but their keeper was on top form and did fantastic to save her shots.

Our first corner of the game brought the first of many. A fantastic corner by Louise straight to Nav for her textbook header to beat the keeper. 1 nil BA! Who said BA couldn't use their heads?!

Number 2 came from a cross from Char to Livvy, who made it third time lucky by slotting it past the keeper - welcome back Livvy!

Nerves were all settled now, we took our foot off the gas and relaxed a little. The defence was outstanding, rock solid. Nothing could get past the centre backs Sarah and Preeti. And there was some great link up play with the wingbacks, Simone and Kim, to midfielders - u guys been getting some extra practice that I don't know about?

Number 3, time for Dangermouse to get her name on the scorecard. Someone crossed it in, I can't remember who, nor can Char. So that's all I can say about that goal really. Oh yeah, now I remember - Nav dribbled past the whole defence, around the keeper, leaving Char with a simple tap in... right Char?

We took a back seat again, gave the defence a little to do. After all they wanted to get in on some of the action as well.

A free kick outside our penalty box gave Svitlana something to do - even if it was to watch it sail over the bar.

Half time we went in 3 nil up, could have been double that really with Char, Danni, Livvy, Nav coming close on occasions.

A quick half time chat from Captain Preeti and we were back on the pitch looking forward to much of the same. Switched Louise and Kim position and we were off.

We started the second half looking bright. Straight from the off we were on the attack, chasing everything.

WWe didn't have to wait long for goal number 4. Char again. Don't ask, someone passed it in and she shot and scored.

In comes Jenny, who replaces a tired Louise. Well done Lou, u did a fantastic job on the wings, and some great corners.

Goal number 5 came from a great strike from Livvy - beat the defence, and keeper - unstoppable.

Goal number 6 should have been courtesy of Stacey, if it wasn't for that "hand ball". Don't worry Stacey, next time....

Our defence had a couple of shakey moments with a free kick just outside the box. The referee understood that Sarah's long limbs got in the way, it wasn't her fault - honest!

Goal number 6 did finally come; Sarah passed a fantastic long ball onto Char who beat the keeper to score her hatrick.

Numerous chances in-between goals, with us hitting the woodwork on a few occasions, and a few off-side calls that just didn't go our way. Also their goal keeper did a fantastic job of keeping the score line respectable.

Final score ended Surbiton Town 0, British Airways 6. Could easily have been double figures.
