Sunday 22nd october 2006, the mighty BAWFC against Corinthian Casuals. We started off nervous, Line needing the loo nearly every two mins and the rest of us freezing in the dull, dreary rain. Man, i need Barbados again!!! The starting line-up changed just before 2pm with Marie starting and i went to right wing.

The game started off quite confidently with everyone doing their bit to protect the mighty Svit! Unfortunately we went a goal down, but we kept our heads up and following a fantastic pass by Danni and then a cross by Lou, ( I think!!) Marie came hurtling towards the back post and sliding in like a true striker, beat the keeper and made it 1-1. Note to everyone, must give Marie the number 12 shirt as she has scored twice now with it!!!

We battled and battled and held it to a draw at half-time. Everyone was confident and eager to start the second half. Despite hard battling and strenuous tackles by Line, the Casulas striker managed to pass a ball through and it became 2-1.

Still keeping our heads up, we kept fighting even with Na coming from up front to help out in defence and Marie defending on corners we conceded another goal, 3-1. Everyone seemed to be on a special Lucozade as energies were high and we battled like we wanted this more than anything! Unfortunately, 90 minutes went past and we lost 3-1 but if we got anything out of this game it's that were getting better as a team and no one can fault us for not trying, well done everyone, we sure burnt off enough calories for all that chocolate everyone had in the bar afterwards!!!!!
