South London 1 BAWFC 5

Sun shining, birds singing etc etc.....

It was a nice 10.30am kick off so of course we were all nice and alert. Got ready, went down to the pitch, had a kick about.....the usual.

1st Half

After a delayed kick off with the ref turning up slightly late the match begun. We started the match well with some decent passing (even though the pitch was dodgy) and a good show of ‘technical ability’.

Completely missed the first goal as I was getting me water but apparently the goal keeper fumbled and Lou was in the perfect place to put it away.

2nd goal was made quick and easy by great passing, Ailsa down the line to Nav who found enough space to pass it into the box to Gilly who slotted it away with no chance of a save from the keeper.

Lots more running and kicking of the ball ended up with us getting a corner. A lovely corner from Lou made its way to Nicole’s head who put it away nicely (nice debut goal)

2nd Half

We decided to switch off for a bit which allowed the opposition to come at us, and after a slight collision between Svit and their winger they got a penalty and scored.

So we decided one goal from them deserved another two from us

Nicole (who was having a great debut) somehow got the ball and passed it to Marie who held off her player well and managed to send it down the line for Char to get onto. Following a bit of running and dribbling, Char produced a great cross/shot (delete as appropriate) that ended up in the back of the net.

Last goal....a nice throw in from Danni that fell at the feet of Char, who sent a great cross to the back post where Nav was waiting to side foot it in.

At some point Preeti got shoved by the opposition straight into the post.....ouch. Oh and something else happened just before the shove but I can’t remember
