Después de tres partidos consecutivos sin conseguir la victoria, BA estaba decidido a lograr un resultado positivo venciendo a un rival complicado... :-) In fact, the game seemed quite promising as BA dominated the game from the start by playing some nice one-touch football that unfortunately didn't end up near the opposition's goal. BA defence were very solid during the first 20 mins of the game and showed some nice and comfortable passes at the back that were just the beginning of sweet passes. Even defenders Nicole, Preeti, Amy and Emma felt confident to dribble with the ball and contribute to some more attacking football. BA had their first important chance after left wing Elsa put in a cross that the opposition defender sent to a corner just before Liz could make any contact with the ball. BA kept playing some nice attacking football through Rachel, who made such an impact on her debut, but still no luck for the blues inside the 18 yards box. BA also had a few goal opportunities from some corners, but Liz's header went above the cross bar and Gilly's and Elsa's shot was saved by Godalming's keeper and defender respectively.

Around minute 35 the opposition approached with danger for the first time BA goal's. Tasha cleared a loose ball that hit the Godalming's striker and went towards our goal but Nicole managed to clear it from the line. Unfortunately, the football went back directly to one opposition player who shot the ball to the back of the net to make the 1-0. Despite the adversity BA stick to their football and always looked for an equalizer that never came in the first half, especially through Becks, Liz and Rachel's plays.

After some positive feedback from Glenn at half time BA was determined to get a goal back. However, Godalming approached BA's goal for the second time and played a long ball that unfortunately ended up in an unfair 2-0.

Around minute 55, Lucy and Charlotte come on for Elsa and Emma respectively with the intention of helping BA. In fact, after a few minutes on the pitch, Lucy managed to link up with Gilly who volleyed the ball to the top of the net for the 1-2. BA was confident to get the equalizer as they kept performing at a high level. Charlotte also won some balls back by making some tackles that put the opposition players off. Our opportunity arrived quite soon, when after running with the football for a few yards, Nav lobbed the ball to reach Liz, who got brought down inside the penalty area. Becks was ready to get the 2-2, but unfortunately she slipped just before taking the penalty and her shot was saved by Godalming's goalkeeper. Our top scorer definitely got her own back a few minutes after by smacking the ball to the top right corner after being assisted by Gilly. With 2-2 in the score sheet, BA was determined to turn the game around but the opposition managed to get a penalty in the last 10 mins of the game that Tasha got a hand to. Immediately after the 2-3, Kim came on to try to make an impact and contributed with some nice passes. Just before full time Liz was very close to capitalize BA's last chance but her shot from the left-hand side was amazingly saved by Godalming's goalkeeper.
