Another great day of football in South London, which showed the gradual improvement of the BA reserves team.
Early start for the BA team who made their way to Kidbrooke, luckily the changing of the clock gave us one extra hour in bed.
It was raining
Kick off was 12 o’clock the BA reserves started very strong however our luck changed after 10 minutes when the LLR started scoring.
It was raining
We fought. Our defence and Goal Keeper were constantly challenged but managed to hold the LLR attack off. The first half was 3-0. Well done girls.
It was raining
Chin up!! We carried on the second half managing a couple of good football actions from Cherelle. (unlucky) Our defence was challenged over and over again and we managed to close down few actions but not enough I am afraid.
It was still raining
Then 10 minutes from the end, Petra was running, Nadia was shouting, Roger was shouting to Jay and Jo, Belinda was stopping the ball in the air, Jenny lost one of her contact lenses and played blind and Lee tripped in but brought down the LLR player and got a nice yellow card.(should have been red but the referee ..understood.)
The game finished 10-0 and it was still raining.
The day was saved by a nice warm cuppa of tea and cake from Nadia (Ed’s note: tea from Nadia and chocolate cornflake cakes from Petra on the way back.
